Getting to Barbados
There are a wide range of international flights originating in the US, Canada and the United Kingdom, many with direct service.

Entry Requirements
All visitors must have a passport and valid return ticket. All visitors (excluding citizens of the Caribbean Community, the US, Canada, and the United Kingdom) are expected to obtain a visa before traveling to Barbados.

Currency
The Barbados dollar is pegged to the US dollar at an exchange rate of US$1 = BDS$1.98. US dollars are accepted throughout the island and most stores and restaurants accept major credit cards and travelers checks.

Electricity
115/230 volts 50 cycles. Standard plug types in Barbados are two flat blades or flat blades with round grounding pin—most hotels provide converters for European or Asian appliances. North American appliances will not need converters.
