Thank you for selecting Waves Hotel and Spa for your upcoming trip. As you prepare for your stay, we would like to share details of Marriott International’s Commitment to Clean and the additional measures we are taking to provide you with a safe and comfortable environment.

Property Amenities

We are committed to making the amenities at our property available to you while complying with local regulations, including guidance on reducing capacity in public spaces and reinforcing social distancing. The modifications we have made include:

BEFORE OPENING

Detailed pre-opening maintenance plus cleaning & sanitation executed in our 70 rooms and public areas.

STAFF

  • Daily temperature screening of associates and venndors.
  • All associates must sanitize hands upon hotel entry and throughout their shift.
  • Appointed a hotel “Cleanliness Champion who ensures the upkeep on hygiene standards.
  • Enhanced sanitation guidelines and training for all our associates that includes hygiene and disinfecting practices.
  • Associates will be equipped with masks and necessary personal protective equipment to complete their daily tasks.

DURING THE STAY

  • Sanitizer stations are located throughout the hotel and sanitizing wipes are installed by the elevator and available in guest rooms.
  • On arrival, all guests will be asked to sanitize their hands and temperature will be taken.
  • Our Front Desk area has been equipped with plexiglass shields and floor decals to abide by the physical distancing rule of 6 feet.
  • All guests are requested to sanitize their hands frequently upon entering outlets and resort facilities.
  • All seating has been restructured to adhere to 6 feet social distancing policies.
  • Housekeeping Services are provided upon guest request with use of EPA approved cleaning agents. Guests are requested to vacate the room while cleaning services are rendered.
  • All surfaces in public spaces and outlets are thoroughly treated with EPA approved disinfectants and cleaned with increased frequency.

GUEST GUIDANCE

  • Beginning July 31st, Marriott will require all guests to wear proper face coverings in all indoor public spaces and in select outdoor spaces where social distancing is not possible.
  • In the event a guest is feeling unwell, they are advised to contact the Cleanliness Champion or Duty Manager right away. The national protocols will be applied and enforced.
  • Guests are advised to pack a face mask, sanitizer, wipes, as well as a snorkel mask and rash guard if participating in water sports activities.

POOL & BEACH

  • Pool and Beach Ambassador service will remain in operation for guests to enjoy, however, complimentary amenities such as cold towels will not be provided.
  • The pool and beach attendant will assist guests with loungers, and loungers will be sanitized between each guest use. Cushions will not be used.
  • Physical distancing of 6 feet will be applied between parties or loungers.
  • Beach towels will be provided in guest room.
  • Select water sports will continue to be offered.
  • Guests are encouraged to wear a t-shirt or rash guard under their life jacket when engaging in motorized sports.
  • For guests who wish to snorkel, they must provide their own snorkel and mask in accordance with the national protocols.

FOOD & BEVERAGE

  • All food handlers and supervisors are trained on safe food preparation and services practices and provided with mask and gloves to perform their jobs safely.
  • Seascape will be in operation from 7:00am until 9:30pm for breakfast, lunch and dinner with limited buffets. When buffets are offered, an associate will be assigned to the buffet station to assist guests.
  • Shiso menu choices will be available at Seascape if Shiso is closed due to occupancy constraints.
  • Kyma is open during daytime for grab and go food, afternoon tea and specialty coffees.
  • Serving utensils will be changed often, and items will be individually packaged as much as feasible.
  • All beverages and cocktails will be included, excluding champagne and fine wine. Physical distancing will be in place at the bar.
  • Minibars will be stocked on guest’s request.
  • In-room dining will be provided in take away containers. All in-room dining fees are still applicable.

FITNESS CENTER & SPA

  • The gym will operate using a reservations-only system. Guests may reserve the gym for 45- minute intervals, hereafter the gym will be sanitized between each use.
  • Fitness classes will be offered using a reservations-only system and physical distancing will be enforced.
  • The Spa at Waves will be offering select treatments using a reservations-only system.
  • Sauna and Steam room are not available.

COMMITMENT TO CLEAN
We take hygiene and cleanliness standards very seriously. You’ll notice several enhancements to our cleaning practices throughout the entire hotel which include:

  • Enhanced Public Space Cleaning: We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfection, especially in high-traffic areas like restrooms, elevators, and escalators etc. Further hand sanitizing stations are installed throughout the hotel for your added protection. Sanitizing wipes have been installed in the elevator and have also been added to your welcome amenity (1-time offer).
  • Social Distancing Practices: You will see signage and shields throughout the hotel promoting physical distancing and encouraging guests to follow social distancing recommendation.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Associates will wear required PPE based on the activities they are performing. Guests are encouraged to wear personal face coverings in public.
  • Guest Rooms: Every guest room is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between each guest. To minimize the entry into your room, we will only provide housekeeping services at your request while you are away from the room. Please note that the Make A Green Choice Program is currently not available. Please do let us know if you wish to not have our team to enter your room at all during your stay.
  • Temperature Screening: We will be temperature screening associates and vendors at entry points. For guests we will be temperature screening upon arrival to hotel, in accordance with national protocols.
  • Electrostatic Spraying: We’re researching and developing enhanced technologies, including electrostatic sprayers with hospital-grade disinfectants, to support our already rigorous cleanliness protocols.
